Where the Action Figure Collecting Happens

Action Figure Collecting

The reason most people start Action Figure Collecting is to start getting active with their children.  That is a good reason as far as I’m concerned since I have a young son.  The next reason is to possibly make a profit.  If you are willing to sell the collection at a later time, that is.  I don’t think I could sell me collection anytime soon.  The last reason is to leave some for your future family to see what the past was like.  I don’t think I want my Action Figure Collecting to be a sign of what we were like to my great grand kids.

After a friend asked of mine spent a lot of time Action Figure Collecting, he made a nice bit of money ding it,  I was stunned.  I did not realize that there was a real market to sell your Action Figures.  So I decided to start collecting them.  I needed a guide to the hobby.  I found this book that was really detailed and recommended by that friend.  Did you know that the clothes that are on a figure can change the price you get for it.

So you can see that there are quite a few things to know about Action Figure Collecting, and my focus tends to be on Action Figure Collectables ( I like DC comics and Star Wars.

One guide that I think every serious collector must have is the Tomart’s Encyclopedia of Action Figures: The 1001 Most Popular Collectibles of All Time.

This is a descriptive A-to-Z guide to action figures collectable with 1001 full-color photographs. It includes comprehensive information on the characters, their dimensions, materials and production qualities, special features, packaging, where to buy and much more.  Click here to get it.

Does anyone know of a store (online, or not) that has a considerable lord of the rings action figure selection

30 August, 2008 (23:45) | Action Figure Collecting | By: admin

In my early teenage years, I got really into the action figures, but when I entered college, I had to neglect my collecting for my studies, but when I was offered a considerable amount of money for one of my action figures, I decided to start collecting again. Unfortunately, the action figures are EXTREMELY hard to come by now, especially Gimli and Merry, so I just wanted to know of a store with a nice big collection where I could take up my hobby again.

I did a search and these are the websites that I found where you could buy action figures. The first one seemed to have a lot of good stuff!
